 Just watched a video on Oprah's true beliefs about Jesus Christ. Looks like she's gone on the deep end.

I used to really look up to her, being a broadcasting student.
Whats SO sad is that her reason for saying those things is that she got turned off with the Bible when she read that "Jesus is a jealous God". She asks how can a God of love be jealous? My 9-year old brother can fully explain to her why! It just shows that her understanding is LIMITED and minute.
She claims that "God is NOT the only way, there are OTHER ways". But actually, God is the ONLY way. She continues to question if a person is kind and pure but does not know God, blablabla.. he still will go to heaven. The most common thought of people today.
Being the is the most INFLUENTIAL person alive, people follow her.. I hope they open their eyes and realize that she is wrong this time. |

 | i' m still going to keep the video i posted in my links page of the time she was worshiping God along with the other black women during her legends ball just to make me remember she was created to be that person...but everything she's saying now means nothing to me anymore...everything else is meaningless - her eloquence, her good works if she's denying Jesus. |

 | one thing i learned in this Christian walk is to not reject anything you do not know. apparently, she just did not care to know what "God being a jealous God" meant. It shows how such ignorance can cause you your life. not caring to know is arrogance. May God become true and real to Oprah and her followers. Amen |

i had a conversation with a friend who said "even Oprah doesn't believe that Jesus is the only way." and i responded, "what makes her a theological authority?" and the response was queer: "well, she's Oprah!"
and that is what many people today think. she is THE Oprah, she has to be right! what??! i don't get it. after that answer, i just couldn't take it. i had to let go of a litany of questions: "did she turn water into wine? part the red sea? walk on water? silence a storm? command plagues? obliterate armies? did she rise from death? did she bear sins on a cross to defeat death and then open the way to heaven?" he replied with a sheepish "no" followed by "i just think her view has to be respected" and i shrugged with a very sympathetic answer: "i respect her, i respect her view. but dude, wrong is wrong no matter how much it's respected." then, we had to change the topic of the conversation.
i was never a fan of Oprah, but i always thought she was a Christian because of her roots. after promoting scientology, i became suspicious. now i'm certainly not a fan, but i sure hope that one day soon, she will see the Truth. |
| the recruitment video doesn't look real..i believe there are still a lot who are thinking and will not be easily swayed by her statements..her success in television doesn't give her the authority to lead people spiritually. |

And yet they seem to have rationalized their existence here on earth, as temporary as it sounds- as one being infinite and they are in essence saying that we can be gods or we are very much equal to god depending on our level of consciousness--- bring in E.T. and Tom Cruise... perhaps one day someone can reach out to her and remind her that there is truly one way---this is through Jesus. As much as I feel for her- her impact on those who are spiritually weak can be disastrous. I really hope someone can reach out to her soon. |

 | Noise about the Church of Oprah has been frustratingly circulating. Many people have been fascinated by the eloquence of the lies; many have been amazed by the heresy.
Apostle Paul warned 2Tim 4:3,4 that "there will be a time when they themselves will not put up with sound teaching, but according to their own lusts they will heap up teachers to themselves, itching in the ear [fig., craving to hear what they want to hear], and on the one hand they will turn away the ear from the truth, on the other hand they will be turned aside to myths.
It is a sad fact that many choose to listen and identify with the eloquence of her false views to gratify their lusts, and to please their itching ears. People do so when they will not endure sound doctrine, that preaching which is searching, plain, and to the purpose; then they will have teachers of their own. There is a wide difference between the word of God and the word of such teachers; the one is sound doctrine, the word of truth, the other is only fables. Those that are turned unto fables first turn away their ears from the truth.
The work of the devils is not only focused on the "world system" as systems are already in place to burden humanity in distracting us away from living a life in Christ. Satan is focused more on the pulpit, on destroying and perverse-ing the word of truth. This is seen from the beginning at Eden, as it is today.
Because of this, we continue to redeem the time, make haste to spread the gospel, form of sound doctrine. Our prayers that many do not fall away and that the "eyes of their understanding be enlightened".
Thank you for sharing the links. we are one with you in persuading those around us to hold on to "the form of sound doctrine" and look ONLY to Jesus Christ and the plain truth of the gospel of salvation and the hope of our calling.

 | You're right about taking heed regarding Oprah. Her current book-for-the month is SO new age. She even has this weekly coaching call where the author goes deeper into the topics. Another book to watch out for is "THE SECRET". Be careful. |

 | I have had doubts about Oprah for a long time. I am just saddened that so many will be decieved by her influence. It is time for us to step up and evangelize more so that we can share the true Jesus with all the people that have not yet accepted Him into their hearts. |

 | hmmm, i'm not really surprised since she's never really tagged herself as a role model for christianity. i AM suspicious of the timing of these videos tho, since they're being circulated right smack in the middle of US elections--targeting one candidate's (obama) most powerful supporters (oprah). looks/sounds/smells like another political smear campaign (against obama) to me. btw, i'm not an oprah fan and i'm not really into US politics...this just looks fishy. |

 | someone failed to disciple her properly or bring her back to her true roots. now she is taking many into the DEEP END with her. GOD is strategic so we must deliberately target discipleship efforts for people involved in arts, entertainment, & media. they can help many go DEEPER in CHRIST! |
| i think its simple really. all the adulation & attention she has had over the years has gotten into her (without CHRIST ruling her life). and now she is into worship, self worship that is. apart from CHRIST, we all potentially could do the same. oh GOD, spare us! |

 | oprah is NOT necessarily going to hell...Jesus Christ was also thinking of OPRAH WINFREY when He was hanging on that cross...we can PRAY for her soul rather than waste time saying she has no more chance...everyone has a chance while they are still alive and breathing.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD! LET'S CLAIM OPRAH FOR JESUS! All things by all means so that SOME men may be saved. |

 | i think there is a difference between being religious and spiritual.. it just so happen that she's inclined towards the spiritual side. besides, her actions and what she has done for many, directly (hands on participation, her school in africa,etc) and indirectly (in television via inspiring others), is probably what our God would want us to do.
probably its not what we say or do.. but rather how we impact the people around us. so far, her impact has been quite consistently good!
